Weekend Weaving Workshop - From Beginning to End

Setting up and weaving on a 4-shaft loom

In this 2-day workshop you will learn every step of the weaving process. You will start with a spool of yarn and learn how to transform it into a beautiful handwoven scarf!

What to Expect:
You will start by picking out your colours from a selection of organic cotton yarns. I will show you how to properly measure out the warp on the warping mill and then carefully take you through the process of setting up the 4-shaft loom. Once the warp in on the loom the weaving can begin! You will use a simple pattern to focus on getting the right weaving rhythm.
In this workshop you will weave a 2 meter long (ca. 35 cm) wide scarf. Of
course, you can also divide the warp to make multiple smaller projects.

Please note that this workshop is fairly intensive. The setting up and threading of the loom will take 1 out of the 2 days to complete and can be hard on your back. I would recommend this course to those who are considering buying a loom and continuing to weave in the future (also if you already have a loom and would like to learn how to set it up).

If you are more interested in an introduction to the weaving process, please check out my 'Just Weave' 1-day workshop. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to weave on a loom that has already been set up with a warp.
